PATH GORE-TEX® Jacket
The Best Cycling Coat Made
I don't do these reviews but I'm so passionate about this jacket that I thought I should chime in.
I've used this coat for three years bike commuting in Seattle. This jacket comes out October through April and has been used hard. I can't believe it's still going strong. It's a bit dirty (I have yellow) but I throw it into the wash and it comes out fine. I've even used the jacket on a few spring ski tours so it's multi-purpose.
Important to try on before buying. I usually wear a large and found myself fitting better into an XL in this jacket.

You get what you pay for - Well worth it
This is the most expensive coat/jacket I have ever bought but has proven to be well worth it, especially since winter is kicking in. An earlier review said to buy a size higher if wearing with other layers, I did and it has proven to be sound advice.
I wear it Mon-Fri for my bike/train/walk commute to work and as well as being 100% waterproof and surprisingly warm it also looks good, in my opinion.
Expensive but worth the purchase in the long run and will no doubt prove to be of great value.
Good work GORE!

A fantastic breathable waterproof that is stylish enough to be worn off the bike.
I paid more for this jacket than I originally set out to but it has gone on to prove the old cliche correct - you get what you pay for. This jacket performs exactly as it should, completely waterproof, light, compact when packed away. I also wanted a jacket that I could use off the bike as a lightweight waterproof. The styling and subtle application of the reflective elements on this item make it absolutely perfect for everyday use and the cut is really good too. My only criticism is that there could be more reflective detail on the jacket as I have had to wear a high vis gilet over the top of it over winter. However, this would detract from the suitability as casual wear so it is a bit of a trade off really. Over all, a great piece of kit that is worth paying the extra for.
