XENON 2.0 WINDSTOPPER® Active Shell Jacket
The thinnest, windproof, breathable, water-resistant jacket!
I have the luxury of owning all three Gore Xenon thermo jersey, AS jacket, and SO jacket. My opinion is that the Gore Xenon AS jacket is the only packable Xenon jacket and is suitable across the largest temperature range compared with the other Xenon products. All three Xenon jackets have very different windstopper materials with the Xenon AS best suited to someone who requires windblocking but yet high breathability. The Xenon AS has all the water resistance that anyone needs in light downpours. The active shell material seems paper thin and yet I've owned this jacket for over 2 years and the only reason it ripped was because I was rubbing the material between two fingers to try and get out a grease stain and tore the membrane...don't do what I did! The fit is very slim so only slender physiques should consider this jacket unless you size up. The stretchable sleeves fit so great over the wrist and over any pair of gloves without fiddling that I wonder why the Xenon thermo jersey or SO jacket don't do away with the zipper on the sleeves and go with the same type of sleeve.

The Active Shell fabric is a wonder. The product descriptor may describe this as a 'windproof' top but that sells the jacket short. It is damned. Near. Waterproof. It will only be defeated by torrential rain on account of the untaped seams.
In spite of this the fabric continues maintain excellent breathability. I've also found myself a lot more blase about removing or even opening this jacket before uphill segments- happy to rely on the effective intrinsic ventilation of the fabric.
It ranks among the most expensive showerproof jackets but in my mind the quality of construction and functionality justifies the expense. Be warned however, the cut is very slim fit- if you carry anything extra in your jersey (pockets or otherwise..) go one size up from normal.

Fantastic product, but it just didn't fit me
Excellent features, great quality, but unfortunately, it just didn't fit me. I feel that this jacket will only fit the most athletic person. I'm 5'10'' and 200 lbs, so certainly not a lightweight, but usually, XL fits me just fine. I tried both XL and XXL, and neither fit. I couldn't even close the XL jacket, and while the XXL jacket fit my torso, the arms were just too long. Very unfortunate. I really wanted to own this jacket.
