GORE-TEX Products

GORE-TEX® Products

Delivering maximum comfort and protection in a wide range of running activities and weather conditions, garments made with GORE-TEX® fabric are durably waterproof, windproof and very breathable.

GORE-TEX Guaranteed

If you are not completely satisfied with the waterproofness, windproofness, or breathability of a GORE-TEX® product then we will repair it, replace it, or refund your purchase price. All GORE-TEX® garments and footwear - and only GORE-TEX® garments and footwear - carry our GUARANTEED TO KEEP YOU DRY® promise.

GORE-TEX Membrane

At the heart of GORE-TEX® fabric is an extremely thin membrane that's durably waterproof, windproof, and breathable. It has over 9 billion pores per square inch.

GORE-TEX Waterproof

What Durably Waterproof Means

We believe waterproof garments shouldn’t leak - period. Many outdoor brands claim their products are waterproof but can’t always keep that promise over time in real-life conditions. We keep that promise. GORE-TEX® fabrics provide truly durable waterproofness, keeping water out through prolonged use in harsh conditions and demanding applications.

GORE-TEX Windproof

Truly Windproof

Although textiles like microfibers, closely woven fabrics, and many fleece materials are often considered windproof, even light winds can penetrate most of these fabrics, making you feel chilled and uncomfortable. In technical terms, a fabric can only be considered truly windproof if its air permeability is 1.0 cfm (volume of air that passes through one cubic foot of fabric in one minute) or less. All GORE-TEX® products meet or exceed this standard.

GORE-TEX Breathable

Highly Breathable

“Breathability” is one of the outdoor industry’s most misunderstood terms. It is not, as many believe, about a fabric’s ability to let air move through it, rather it refers to how well it lets your sweat escape in the form of moisture vapor. Our standards require that during heavy exertion our fabrics must breathe well enough to allow sweat to evaporate easily.

Product Reviews
Rated 3.5 out of 5 by 4 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by good fit I have trouble with circulation on one of my ankles so a seamstress removed the stretch material that goes around the top of each sock. This had nothing to do with the quality of the sock itself. February 27, 2015
Rated 1 out of 5 by Not waterproof The concept is great, but the seams are not waterproof. When they first arrived, I tested them by standing in 6" of water in my bathtub. My feet got wet in about 20 seconds. To figure out where the leak was, I turned them inside out, and filled them with water (simulating water ingress). Water steadily dripped through the seams on both the toes and the heals. What is the point of a waterproof fabric if water pours in through the seams? I ordered a second pair, to see if the first ones were defective, but the exact same thing happened. Good thing I tried them at home first. June 6, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Good alternative to overboots. I've had a pair of these for a couple of years, they do a great job of keeping my feet dry. I generally wear them under my shoes that are a little looser and synthetic leather with mesh, I like that I can tromp around and not worry about wearing out overboots. On the first big rain there seemed to be some seepage at the seams, so I applied seam sealant, and things seem to work well. As the weather gets colder/warmer, I simply layer with thicker or thinner socks as appropriate; I wear them in cold weather even when it's dry out to keep my feet warm. At first they were a little difficult to get on/off, but after about 10x they loosen up sufficiently and are easy to get on/off, and the waterproofness hasn't been compromised in the process. Overall, a great product, I'd recommend as an alternative to overboots, especially in terms of being able to walk around without worrying about wearing out soles of overboot. October 12, 2013
