I bike commute year round in Anchorage, AK and needed a mask that protects my face down to extreme temperatures. This mask does. The wind stopper material keeps my face warm at riding speed even at -20. The mouth vents are large enough that they don’t inhibit breathing. Additionally the mask vents down, preventing eyewear from fogging easily. I don’t have any problems with the mask staying put, but because the rear closure is low you can easily pivot the mask down to drink at a stop light. The only problem is the vlecro closure ripped off after the first use. I re-sewed it and haven’t had a problem. If this area was reinforced this would be a perfect product.

I enjoy this product for biking in 32 and below weather to keep my face warm. Adequate ventilation to breath freely, and doesn't get wet and cold like fleece would from the moisture. Very low-profile but runs big, so i have to put it on after hats etc to get fit right. Thank you Gore!

Rated 2 out of 5 by mtnclimbinrunner Great Idea, Poor Implementation
My only complaint is that it doesn't stay up on your face which completely defeats its purpose. No matter how tight you wrap it down it has a tendency to slowly creep lower until it falls down around your neck. This face mask has a wrap on style with a velcro tab in the back to keep it tight. This would be a great product if they took the breathing holes and nose cover they have here and just made it like a full balaclava. It could also do with a little more thickness and warmth.
