When weather dictates adding leg warmers, what are you looking for? You want a layer to block the wind and provide some heat retention to keep muscles functioning at their best. Just as important, you don't want the leg warmers to slide down while riding. Gore Universal Leg Warmers are "the right tool for the job". They last for years without any degradation in capabilities. A must for every cyclist's wardrobe.

Rated 5 out of 5 by OK Cyclist They work and stop the wind!
A great product that really stops the wind. My only concern is as a female who purchased the small size, they still fall down a bit. They are made for a male. Due to the shaping at the knee joint, this prevents them from falling down. However, they work very well and keep the wind away from my legs. I did finally purchase the Gore WindStopper Bibs so the rest of me would stay as warm as my legs and arms.

Rated 4 out of 5 by WMdeR Limited Stretch--size up
Recommended as long as you don't need to strip them on the move. With zippers and RFX trim, they don't pack quite as small as a lycra or "roubaix" warmers. In their element (day rides in cool and inclement weather), they're excellent.
The zippers are well-placed (offset) to limit achilles irritation, and have reflective storm flaps. They don't peel easily, and they require careful placement due to the stiff fabric--you'll be stopping to don or doff them and I have to wrestle them into place a bit. Once placed, they are comfortable and don't bunch up.
The Gore Windstopper fabric provides exceptional performance in dry and blustery weather down to below freezing, and has served me well in cold rain as well. It has limited stretch, is slim cut for its length, and I found I needed to size up relative to a typical "roubaix" fabric warmer. Consequently, the warmers end up being pretty long on me.
They served me well, and I've ordered a second pair, having accidentally left a pair of size large (good condition, sadly) at my last race.
