GORE-TEX Products

GORE-TEX® Products

Delivering maximum comfort and protection in a wide range of running activities and weather conditions, garments made with GORE-TEX® fabric are durably waterproof, windproof and very breathable.

GORE-TEX Guaranteed

If you are not completely satisfied with the waterproofness, windproofness, or breathability of a GORE-TEX® product then we will repair it, replace it, or refund your purchase price. All GORE-TEX® garments and footwear - and only GORE-TEX® garments and footwear - carry our GUARANTEED TO KEEP YOU DRY® promise.

GORE-TEX Membrane

At the heart of GORE-TEX® fabric is an extremely thin membrane that's durably waterproof, windproof, and breathable. It has over 9 billion pores per square inch.

GORE-TEX Waterproof

What Durably Waterproof Means

We believe waterproof garments shouldn’t leak - period. Many outdoor brands claim their products are waterproof but can’t always keep that promise over time in real-life conditions. We keep that promise. GORE-TEX® fabrics provide truly durable waterproofness, keeping water out through prolonged use in harsh conditions and demanding applications.

GORE-TEX Windproof

Truly Windproof

Although textiles like microfibers, closely woven fabrics, and many fleece materials are often considered windproof, even light winds can penetrate most of these fabrics, making you feel chilled and uncomfortable. In technical terms, a fabric can only be considered truly windproof if its air permeability is 1.0 cfm (volume of air that passes through one cubic foot of fabric in one minute) or less. All GORE-TEX® products meet or exceed this standard.

GORE-TEX Breathable

Highly Breathable

“Breathability” is one of the outdoor industry’s most misunderstood terms. It is not, as many believe, about a fabric’s ability to let air move through it, rather it refers to how well it lets your sweat escape in the form of moisture vapor. Our standards require that during heavy exertion our fabrics must breathe well enough to allow sweat to evaporate easily.

Product Reviews
Rated 4.2 out of 5 by 6 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great pair of mid-weight gloves I regularly suffer from cold extremities (sometimes wonder if I have Raynaud's disease . . .) when outdoors. Biking is no exception, as one's hands are typically quite exposed out on the handlebars. These gloves serve as a good transition between very cold and cool temperatures. For me, this is at ambient air temperatures between 6 °C to 13 °C (42 °F to 56 °F), which is based on empirical data from hundreds of rides. These gloves are not waterproof (I've never found any that are), but will shed a moderate amount of rain, and only lose a bit of their insulating capability even when thoroughly soaked. Similarly, the gloves are decently breathable; but if you find yourself sweating profusely (probably from wearing them at too high of a temperature) or biking on a particularly foggy day, it is very possible to build up some moisture inside the gloves. The ergonomics are great. Tactile feel is superb. A nice gel insert under the palm helps to take a bit of the bite out of bumpy roads and trails. The drawstring closure system also makes for an excellent way to adjust the gloves between heat retention and moisture release. There is a patch of plush fabric on the backside of the gloves below the thumb, which everyone will tell you is for wiping your glasses. Don't be fooled -- this feature is for your nose. It works. As far as sizing, I have small hands for a man. Most of the 'small' gloves one would find at the store run a bit too big for me. Gore's Small size suits me fine here -- one could even call it snug. The gloves are machine washable. Use a good sports/technical detergent and the gloves should last you for many years. You will likely wish to apply some DWR coating after each washing. Unfortunately, I misplaced mine a month ago, though their condition could still be described as 'like new' despite over three years of ownership. Definitely the most durable pair of gloves I've owned to date. January 15, 2017
Rated 1 out of 5 by A total waste of £80 I had high hopes for these gloves. My first issue, is that the liner is not attached to the glove so when you remove a clamy hand you pull the liner out. Good luck trying to get that back in on the trail or by the side of the road. Ok you learn from the first time and you do not it again, you have to make sure you grip the liner as you remove the glove. At some point you will want to wash your gloves. If you use a washing machine, like I did with a proper Gore Tex wash, again good luck trying to get that liner back in!!. Ok, so I could live with all this if they performed. No, firstly these are about as waterproof as a Tea Bag, which means your hands get soaked and thus then very cold. Even in the dry these are just average in terms of warmth. Spend your money else where. January 3, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great winter gloves Light insulation, not too bulky, but do the job down to 15 degrees or so (F). Could order a size bigger and use lightweight liner gloves. I have trouble gauging the right size on Gore Bikewear gloves. I don't think my hands are exceptionally large, but I typically find XXL or XXXL to be most comfortable. February 6, 2014
