GORE-TEX Guaranteed

If you are not completely satisfied with the waterproofness, windproofness, or breathability of a GORE-TEX® product then we will repair it, replace it, or refund your purchase price. All GORE-TEX® garments and footwear - and only GORE-TEX® garments and footwear - carry our GUARANTEED TO KEEP YOU DRY® promise.

GORE-TEX Membrane

At the heart of GORE-TEX® fabric is an extremely thin membrane that's durably waterproof, windproof, and breathable. It has over 9 billion pores per square inch.

GORE-TEX Waterproof

What Durably Waterproof Means

We believe waterproof garments shouldn’t leak - period. Many outdoor brands claim their products are waterproof but can’t always keep that promise over time in real-life conditions. We keep that promise. GORE-TEX® fabrics provide truly durable waterproofness, keeping water out through prolonged use in harsh conditions and demanding applications.

GORE-TEX Windproof

Truly Windproof

Although textiles like microfibers, closely woven fabrics, and many fleece materials are often considered windproof, even light winds can penetrate most of these fabrics, making you feel chilled and uncomfortable. In technical terms, a fabric can only be considered truly windproof if its air permeability is 1.0 cfm (volume of air that passes through one cubic foot of fabric in one minute) or less. All GORE-TEX® products meet or exceed this standard.

GORE-TEX Breathable

Highly Breathable

“Breathability” is one of the outdoor industry’s most misunderstood terms. It is not, as many believe, about a fabric’s ability to let air move through it, rather it refers to how well it lets your sweat escape in the form of moisture vapor. Our standards require that during heavy exertion our fabrics must breathe well enough to allow sweat to evaporate easily.

Reviews for FUSION 2.0 GORE-TEX® Active Jacket

Rated 4.8 out of 5 by 9 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Fusion 2.0 Jacket. I've waited a long time for the right jacket. I worked in a high end retail recreation store for 15 years. I've had access to every reputable company out there. But no one ever made a jacket that had all the features I was looking for, until now. (I search this jacket out. I first saw it in Europe. No one in this state carries the jacket). I live in a mountain resort where Mountain biking is the dominate biking sport. Cool weather riding is part of the norm here, except July, August. I don't question the Gore-Tex waterproofness. I did question the "breathability". We just had the warmest day of the year (so far). 60 degrees. I took this jacket out to test the "Breathability" of the new active technology. I was not disappointed. We are still skiing, and still have snow on the ground. (April 7) I was able to hammer out a long ascent on the road bike, then turn and come down, all while keeping my body temperature at the ideal level. This jacket breathes extremely well. Only complaint. Zippers are a little too tight first few times out. April 8, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by It fits me when others didn't plus it works as advertised. If the jacket does not fit then it's not going matter how technical it is. I am 6' 2" at 180 lb. with long arms and have had issue with finding clothing that fits. I am now super stoked that the cut of this jacket (Gore Bike) works for my length & body weight. The fit works for me on the bike in the drops without a gap between my gloves and the end of the sleeve. It's worked as promised keeping me dry and warm in rain and wind including sideways windy downpours. I'll be coming back to Gore Bike for future purchases. December 2, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by This jacket is awesome! I have a problem with jackets. I have a jacket for probably every 10 degree temperature difference and weather condition. Some are shells, some are windproof, some are insulating mid-layers, some are just plain comfy. All are from manufacturers that you have heard of if you live in the US and are into outdoor gear. But none of them are close to this one when it come to being good for riding. The cut, the fit, the weight, the small details that make it cycling specific make it that way. Other jackets I have tried have sleeves that are too short. A tail that is not long enough. Extra material where it doesn't need to be. This one has just what you need: enough coverage to keep wind and water off of you, and still breathe well. The small details like the drop tail, long sleeves (which are cut diagonal so they are longer on the top of your wrist), adjustable wrist cuff with just enough velcro to keep it closed, and just large enough zipper pulls to use with gloves on all make it one of my favorite jackets ever. The only changes I would like to see are ones that might make it worse for some people: two side pockets to put your hands in when off the bike, and some pit zips. Then it would be perfect for me. As far as the fit, I am 6'0" and 180, and I got the XL because I like to layer and have broader shoulders. If you just plan to wear one jersey under it, go with the normal size. If you plan to wear a short + a long sleeve, it'd probably be a little tight. I have used it on MTB and commuting rides with both flat bar and drop bar bikes, and I have plenty of room to move and the fit is great; not too tight and not too baggy. It has some stretch, but not a lot. The zippers are a bit stiff, but that is the price you pay to be dry, so I am OK with it. I was leery to spend so much for basically just a shell, but I know that by buying from the source they will stand behind it, and now that I have had some rides with it, I am very glad I did !
